Are you thinking about doing a Boudoir Photo Shoot?

If your answer is yes, then great! This blog post will inform you of the benefits of doing a boudoir session. If your answer is no, then please keep reading this post as well because I hope I can change your mind!

I shot one boudoir session and fell in love. The reasons why?

  1. It’s amazing to see a woman’s transformation during the session. For my first session, I did a lot of research before this session because I absolutely had to get it right (it was a gift for her husband’s birthday). I researched posing, lighting, and how to make clients comfortable etc. My client was a little shy and unsure of what to do. I had worked with her before so she was comfortable with me doing the shoot, but not so sure of the posing. With a little direction from me, and showing her some of the images as we kept going, she opened up and it was amazing.

  2. Empowerment. In today’s social media world, it’s easy to be critical of yourself. Wishing your tummy was more toned, or your butt was more firm, and so many more things. We are our own worst critics. But the main thing photographers hear after showing a client her photos is “Is that me?”. I should note that, it’s not that said client looks super thin, toned, or voluptuous; it’s that they look confident with their body. I believe boudoir photography shows women the art that is their body. This does not mean that you must do this to be proud of your body though. That is a journey you should work on yourself.

  3. It’s an amazing gift for your partner’s birthday, valentine’s day, anniversary, or wedding. It’s also a great gift for yourself!!

One should always make sure you do your research and choose the best photographer for you. A photographer that will honor your wishes. Also, be sure to discuss any insecurities you may have with your photographer as well as the photographers editing style. If you do choose to do a boudoir photo session don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. If you are looking for a boudoir photographer in the Antelope Valley, please consider giving me a call!!

I’ll leave you all with this quote “If you’ve got it, flaunt it. And if you don’t got it? Flaunt it. Cause what are we even doing here if we’re not flaunting it?” ~Mindy Kaling
