Last week I had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful mom-to-be named Jennifer. I put out a model call because I wanted to do some creative maternity sessions with my vision. Many women were interested and applied and I eventually selected two. With Jennifer, she chose to do the boudoir maternity and the milk bath. We discussed outfits, H&MU, location, and everything in between. The day finally arrived and it was perfect. Elana Emerson, a very talented H&MU artist, gave Jennifer a subtle look for her boudoir session. Natural, light, and airy was my goal for the boudoir portion of the session. Jennifer pulled it off flawlessly. She is so gorgeous with a very caontagious smile! The second part of the session was my favorite. I worked with a florist to find the perfect colors of flowers for the session. I was going for whites, deep purples, light purples and a little pink to match the colors of my brand. For Jennifer's makeup I asked Elana to do a dramatic eye with a deep purple and a plum lip, which she executed perfectly. She also put big curls throughout Jennifer's hair and loosely pinned it up, which was so beautiful.
I had so much fun with Jennifer and Elana and I hope you all enjoy these images as much as I do.
